believes that every neighborhood is entitled to a good brewpub, a gathering place where friends and neighbors can come together to raise a cup of kindness yet.
Hama Hama Oyster Pizza, Grove Street Brewhouse, Shelton, WA
Down the pike from the oyster city of Hama Hama on Washington's Hood Canal is a great find of a brewpub for oysters: Grove Street Brewhouse. The menu offers the Hama Hama Oyster Pizza which I slavishly order. What you get are delicate morsels of Hama Hama oysters on a thin crust pizza, topped with feta cheese, pesto, marinara sauce, whole milk mozzarella, and a pleasant dusting of parmesan cheese.Oysters and Pizza and it's all good.

Picking up a slice, the thin crust rewards the mouth feel with its crispy goodness. I'm noticing that more and more brewpubs choose to offer thin crust pizza on their menu, which is a good thing for pizza lovers. The star of the show, however, is the oysters: the succulent oysters allow the pizza to come alive with all its wonderful juices. Add the tangy feta and the more mellow mozzarella and you have a great pizza experience, something you would find in a more upscale gourmet pizza restaurant.
For my beer, I chose GSB's Kolsch Ale. Clean and with light hop bitterness, the Kolsch drank down easy and paired well with the oysters.
GSB has a few tables along the sidewalk that are dog friendly. You can bring your pooch while you imbibe.
