Country Fried Steak and Eggs, Hoppy Brewing Co., Sacramento, CA

Desirous for a hearty pub grub breakfast, I drop in Hoppy Brewing to satisfy the morning hungries. I order the solid Country Fried Steak and Eggs. This is a real blue collar breakfast. What you get is country fried steak smothered in gravy, two eggs, a choice hash browns or country potatoes, and toast. I ordered eggs over medium, hash browns and a surprise tasting rye toast

Check out the gravy in the picture above; this is what country fried means. Southern style deep fried, the breaded steak is pulled sizzling out of the fryer and dolloped with a satisfying gravy.
With a generous portion of hash browns and perfectly fried eggs, the Country Fried Steak and Eggs proved to be a hefty and filling breakfast.

For my breakfast brew, I chose an 8 ounce glass of Hoppy's Golden Nugget Cream Ale. This cold fermented ale drank down lager light, with a crisp and effervescence taste to it, a perfect accompaniment to the heavier breakfast. Also, as an added bonus, eating the rye toast along with the beer gave my taste buds a unique tasting experience: it seems that the ale accentuates the strong notes of the rye. Try it
