Fish and Chips, Bill's Tavern and Brewhouse, Cannon Beach, OR

I ordered the fish & chips from the lunch side of the menu, which offers a choice between cod or halibut. Having grown up in Seattle in a household that ate fish and seafood regularly (my dad went salmon fishing nearly every year), I know how well-prepared fish tastes.
Fish and Chips
Bill's was very good. The fish itself was flaky and moist, and the batter coating was crisp and crunchy, which is how fried fish served with chips should be. The fries and the amber Rudy's Red provided the perfect accompaniment to the fish. Portions are large; on an ordinary eating day, the fish & chips would have been enough for two meals. The Fish and Chips come with tarter sauce, lemon and a slice of garlic bread.

Oyster Burger
Tom had the Oyster Burger. Served on a traditional bun, the oyster burger comes with tarter sauce and all the regular burger fixings. Crispy fried on the outside, the grilled oysters were juicy and succulent on the inside and a pure pleasure to eat. If you like grilled oysters, you gotta try Bill's Oyster Burger.

The Rudy's Red, an amber that varies day-to-day, is one of Bill's most popular beers. Mildly sweet and medium bodied, the Red drank down smooth and easy.
