High Mountain Burger, Highlands Hollow Brewhouse, Boise, ID

This is a good burger. Highland Hollow's contribution to the brewpub burger universe is a 1/3 pound of Angus ground chuck, with mushrooms and swiss cheese topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and the required pickles. Burgers come with soup, salad, cottage cheese or fries. I chose the very excellent corn beef and swiss cheese soup.
High Mountain Burger
The High Mountain burger proved to be as advertised. The meaty patty was juicy enough to release all the succulent flavors of the Angus ground chuck. The melted swiss cheese and grilled mushrooms complemented the beef nicely. And I particularly appreciated the long-cut pickles on the sandwich. In all, a good brewpub burger.

I chose the soup for my side and I am glad that I did. This soup was a treat. Slurping up a spoonful of the soup at a time rewarded my taste buds with a rich and hefty blend of chunks of tasty corn beef in a creamy swiss cheese base. If on the menu, it's well worth your effort to try it.

For my brew, I  chose the Lone Pine  Ale. With a mild hoppiness and medium body, this golden ale drank down smooth and easy. The slight malt sweetness added to the ale flavor, giving the beer palate taste without and overbearing hoppiness.
Highlands Hollow Brewhouse is popular with the locals. It was crowded with a lively mix of families, students, and couples.
