BLT Pie, 21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, CA
This is my second visit to 21st Amendment and I always look forward to visiting when I find myself in downtown San Francisco. For this lunch visit, I chose an interesting menu item: The BLT Pie. The BLT is an individual-sized pizza topped with such goodies as bacon, arugula, tomatoes, red peppers and goat cheese, all on 21st's special beer mash crust.
BLT Pie
The thin crust BLT Pie was perfect for this solitary diner. The crust crunched on first bite while the sun dried tomatoes gave a rich summer taste to the pizza. The crunchy bacon and the creamy melted goat cheese played happily with the other while the roasted red peppers added a sweet spice to the pie. In all, a good lunch experience in San Francisco. For my drink I chose the apple cider guest brew from Two Rivers Cider Company. This hard apple cider is made fresh from the harvest from Apple Hill, California. The cider drank down cold and refreshing. With a slight tartness and effervescence to it, the cider cleaned the palate and provided a pleasant drinking experience.
21st Amendment Brewery is a popular destination for locals and out-of-town visitors. As a side note, finding a table was not difficult and I was seated immediately. The staff is friendly and helpful, which is always welcome.
