Chicken Burrito, Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon, WA

After much deliberating - there are so many choices and they all sounded good - I ordered the marinated chicken burrito with cilantro lime rice, seasoned black beans, cheese, red cabbage, chipotle crema and Everybody's house salsa.

Chicken Burrito

The chicken was grilled to perfection, with the seasonings and salsa giving it a just-right tang. I found myself trying to guess the ingredients and preparation methods of the rice; I've never tasted a rice dish quite like this one. The lime lent it a kicky background flavor without overpowering the entire dish. Ribbons of red cabbage rounded out the combination nicely by adding a touch of crunch. Portions are large, so the average diner has the added advantage of being able to take half the burrito home, where it makes a tasty contribution to the next day's sack lunch, just as good eaten cold.

Lamb Gyro

Tom had the Lamb Gyro. Everybody's gyro comes with Imperial Stock Ranch locally grown lamb, Romaine lettuce, cucumber, pepperoncini, tomato, red onion, feta and tzatziki wrapped in a warm pita.

The gyro arrived with plenty of chunks of marinated lamb-not pressed- and covered with what might be called an entire salad. The lamb was succulent and juicy while all the other  ingredients gave the gyro a cool and refreshing taste.

For Tom's brew, he had  the Hoedown Brown Ale, which drank down sweet and nutty.

The brewpub is located in the heart of scenic Columbia River Gorge. The Gorge, popular with wind surfers on the river, paragliders flying off cliffs, or river rafting the White Salmon River. Everybody's Brewing would be a pleasant stop at the end of the day. Everybody's was voted Best of  the Gorge for Restaurant Service.
